An often-overlooked carol, “Once in Royal David’s City” tenderly tells the story of Jesus Christ. He was born on earth in great poverty, for us. The God and Lord of all came down to earth to live among us. And having lived a perfect life and then paid the price for our sins, He ascended to God the Father’s right hand. Now He leads me day by day until, one day, my eyes at last shall see Him in His beauty.

Written for early advanced pedal harp, this arrangement is meant to be played very freely. Techniques include LH harmonics, 3 pedal changes, glissandi, and some notes in the treble clef played by the LH. Listen here (link to be added soon).
